Ms. Elnora Cecelia Bass of Wilson, North Carolina entered into eternal rest on August 26, 2025. She was born on April 25, 1950, in Granville County, North Carolina, to the late Lillian Williams Burwell and bailey Comer.

Elnora was a proud graduate of Mary Potter High School in Oxford, North Carolina and Vance Granville Community College in Henderson, North Carolina. She dedicated many years of service in the healthcare field, concluding her career at John Umstead Hospital. Known for her quick wit, sweet spirit and loving nature, Elnora touched the lives of all who knew her.

She found joy in life's simple pleasures cooking and baking for her family, dancing to her favorite music, reading her bible, and most of all, cherishing time spent with her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.

Elnora leaves to treasure her memory her beloved children; Timothy Bass, Pamela Bass Small (Jamael), Natalie Bass Hicks (Tyronza) and April Bass; her grandchildren, Timarah Bass Haley (Marshall), Alexis Bass, Ashya Bass, Armani Bass, Anthony Alston, Jr., Antonio Alston, Keishon Alston, Briana Coleman, Jayden Small, Adasia Thomas; her great grandchildren, Ayden Bass, Taylor Haley, Addison Haley, Noelle Pendleton and Mekhi Haley; her siblings, Josephine Stainback (Jerome), Lillian Brooks, Esther Williams, Carolyn Sykes, Catherine Poole, Annie Willimas, Diane Brooks (William) Debora Williams, Clementine Beatty (Tyrone), Ronnie Burwell (Toni). In addition, she is survived by many nieces, nephews and longtime friend Geneva Thornton Harris, who shared in many of life's special moments.
