Emma Pearl Harris Jones was born January 21, 1951 in Louisburg, North Carolina. Her parents were Mary Louise Williams and Richard Harris.
She was a graduate of Mary Potter High School. Pearl was employed by Nortel later becoming Seletron where she worked for over twenty years before she reitred.
"Granny" as she is known by her close family and friends is survived by her husband of 45 years, Joseph Nelson Jones of the home; two daughters, Joslyn Fields (Roger) of Henderson, North Carolina and Deanndre Green of Mays-landing, New Jersey; one sons, Joshaus Jones (Sarina Biles); two brothers Ellis T. Harris of Oxford, North Carolina and Thomas Jones (Cheryl) of Irvington, New Jersey; thirteen grandchildren, Roger Fields, Jr., Lionnel Fields (Mercedes Perry), J'Mauri Fields, Kylei Jones, Shakeerah Green, Shaheed Stewart (Naiyah Henderson), Bayyinah Stewart (Jarell Hallmon), Amar Preston, Najee Smith, Toni Lofton, Ion Green, Jocilynn Biles-Lopez and Jazzmin Biles-Lopez; honorary sister, Mary Branch; six great grandchildren, Kingston Fields, Kaiden Fields, Kaiden Fields, Alayah Fields, Heaven Fields, Kharter Perry and Mar'leigh Robbs and a host of nieces, nephews and other loving relatives and friends.
