On Monday, April 6, 2020 God called our beloved Helen Chadwick Gregory Davis to rest in His arms. She was a Granville County native born on September 21, 1925 to the late Lena Taylor Gregory and James Gregory.

She was educated in the Granville County schools and furthering her education at Saint Augustine's University with a major in Physical Education. Helen retired after twenty-five years of dedicated services to Head Start. At an early age she joined First Baptist Church.

"Chat" as she was so affectionately called loved doing crossword puzzles, zigsaw puzzles, but her passion was her love for cooking. She was married to late Roger Davis.

She leaves to cherish so many fond memories with her three daughters, Joan Hailstock, Arminta Davis and Evonne Claiborne (Tai) all of Oxford, North Carolina; one son Gregory Charles Davis of Oxford, North Carolina; ten grandchildren, Leon Davis, Helena Hailstock, Derek Hailstock, Erica Hailstock, John Hailstock, Joseph Fulcher, Dante Taylor, Tyra Taylor, Roger Davis and Khalila Cooper; 16 great grandchildren, six great-great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends
