Mr. John Melvin Hailstock was born on December 19, 1968, in Patterson, New Jersey to the parentage of Joan Laurin Jean Davis Hailstock and the late John Melvin Minor, III.

John was loving and kind. He worked at Burger King as a cook for many years. John was loved by so many because of his humblness.

He is survived by his mother, Joan Davis Hailstock of the home; a daughter Daisha Durham of Durham, North Carolina; three brothers, Leon Davis, Derek Hailstock and Justin Minor; three sisters, Helena Hailstock, Erica Hailstock and Jalisa Minor; two aunts, Evonne Claiborne, and Arminta Davis; one uncle Gregory Davis; two grandchildren and a host of other relatives and close friends.
