MR. LARRY WILLIAMS ( affectionately known as "Larry Love") was born in Newark, New Jersey on March 23, 1968 to Lessie E. Williams, Sr. and the late Sarah Allen Williams and departed this earthly life on April 3, 2018.
Mr. Williams was educated in the Granville County public schools and Vance Granville Community College. He spent most of his career as a dedicated worker in the service industry which included the companies Burlington Mills, Anheuser-Busch, and Dilmar Oil Company. He was a devoted employee of Duke LifePoint Healthcare (formerly known as Maria Parham Medical Center) at the time of his death.
He will be remembered the most for his heart for helping others and playing horseshoes and Bid Wiz. His big personality and contagious smile are what drew family, friends, and even strangers to him. No one was a stranger. He will be greatly missed by everyone with whom he came in contact.
Now, he joins his mother, Sarah Allen Williams, his grandparents, and several other family members and friends in their eternal resting place.
He leaves to cherish his memory, his loving and devoted wife of nineteen years, Julia; stepson: James Bobbitt (Tiffany) of Louisburg, North Carolina; stepdaughter: Kendra Wood of Durham, North Carolina; two step-granddaughters: Jamia and Colisa Bobbitt of Raleigh, North Carolina; his father: Lessie E. Williams, Sr. of Oxford, North Carolina; three brothers: Lessie E. Williams, Jr. (Lisa) of Franklinton, North Carolina, Alexander Williams of Douglasville, Georgia, Calvin Williams (Debbie) of Dayton, Ohio; surrogate brother and best friend: David Lee Williams (Marjorie) of Henderson, North Carolina; two sisters: Denise Marrow (Durwood) of Henderson, North Carolina, Laverne Williams of Winterville, North Carolina; surrogate big sister: Debra King of Durham, North Carolina; four sisters-in-law: Annie Cannady and Frances Bobbitt of Franklinton, North Carolina, Cynthia Bobbitt of Queens, New York, Dalphine Bobbitt of Louisburg, North Carolina; three brothers-in-law: Willie Bobbitt (Towanda) and Bennie Bobbitt (Ruth) of Franklinton, North Carolina, James Cannady (Florence) of Louisburg, North Carolina; six nephews: Cedric Williams of Charleston, West Virginia, Justin Williams of Greensboro, North Carolina, Julius "Jay" Williams of Pittsboro, North Carolina, Marcus Lyons of Durham, North Carolina, Kirby and Paxton Marrow of Henderson, North Carolina; three nieces: Leslie Williams of Franklinton, North Carolina, Tamika Williams of Denver, Colorado, Tiffany Williams (Jae Gyeong) of South Korea; nine great nieces and nephews; and a host of beloved relatives and friends.
