Mary Frances Wilkerson Clark (lovingly called "Sister") was born to the parentage of the late Add and Annie Kapps Wilkerson in Clarksville, Virginia on August 8, 1923.  She departed her earthly life and entered the presence of the Lord on Wednesday, January 17, 2018 at Londyn's Bridge Assisted Living in Oxford, NC, a place she had called "home" for the last five years.

Sister's parents migrated from Clarksville, VA to Oxford, NC when she was at an early age.

She attended school in Oxford, NC and Cleveland, Ohio.  She was a licensed Cosmetologist having graduated from DeShazaro Cosmetologist School in Durham, NC.  Mary practiced Cosmetology in Oxford, NC.  She retired from John Umstead Hospital, a state facility, after 22 years of service as technician, medication technician, and campus supervisor.

Mary became a member of New Light Baptist Church in 1966 and diligently worked as clerk, finance secretary and church announcer, until her health declined.  She was faithful and supportive to her home church.  She was under three preachers during her life at New Light Baptist Church.  Sister loved her church family and supported her church in any way that she could.

She leaves to cherish her memory, three nieces; Carrie Frances "Tina" Wilkerson-Pearson of Queens, New York, Dianne Moore Green (Ronald) and Linda Moore Brodie both of Oxford, NC; fourteen great-nieces and nephews (Kevin, Keith, Rodney, Nathaniel, Shanita, Pamela, Derrick, April, Gregory, Hassan, Alisha, Leslie Jr., Dominque and Dante); twenty great-great nieces and nephews; and nine great-great-great nieces and nephews; cousins, Elenora Yancey and Connell Foster; best friend, Ida Yancey; God-son, Reginald Downey all of Oxford, NC and other loving family and friends.
