William Alexander Yancey, son of the late Alex Yancey and Hattie Smith Yancey was born October 10, 1951, in Granville County, North Carolina. He entered eternal life on December 16, 2025, in Boonton, New Jersey

William is survived by his devoted and loving wife Wanda Yancey; four adoring children, William Yancey, III. (Andrea), Brittney Jinks (Garth), Sharon Yancey and Sean Yancey; grandchildren, Jarrod Brown and Maleak Yancey, Bradyn and Gabby Jinks, and Zakari Yancey;  four sisters, Ida Taylor (Jet) of New York, New York, Ola Watts of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Minnie Parker (Stanley) of Kittrell, North Carolina, Charlotte Mann (Willie) of Bunn, North Carolina; one brother, Valentino Yancey of Oxford, North Carolina; and a host of other relatives and friends
