Garland Roberts, Jr.

Mr. Garland Roberts, Jr. of 2678 Bryans Hill Road, was born May 29, 1937 to the parentage of the late Elizabeth Montaque Roberts and Garland Roberts, Sr. He joined Synama Grove Missionary Church at an early age. Mr. Roberts retired from John Umstead Hospital after thirty years of service.

He had two loves, his grandchildren and he was known for his love for grilling.

Garland is survived by his wife, Shirley Moore Roberts; a daughter, Carolyn Williams. of Oxford, North Carolina; two granddaughters, Kisha Moore and Tiffany Moore both of Oxford, North Carolina; two great- grandchildren Tyriq Mitchner and Chandler Jenkins both of Oxford, North Carolina two sisters, Polly Johnson of Durham, North Carolina and Diane Waller of Oxford, North Carolina;  close friends, Roosevelt Thornton, James Allen and Harold Satterwhite all of Oxford, North Carolina and a host of nieces, nephews and other close relatives and friends.

Graveside service Saturday, April 23, 2022 at 2:00pm at Synama Grove Church Cemetery by Reverend Randolph Moten assisted by Minister LaTonia H. Oakley.
